The practice

Located directly at Vienna Central Station, the Favoriten Diagnostic Center offers all important examinations under one roof on over 1,600 m². Thanks to the optimal connection to the public transport network, the center is easily accessible from all over Vienna and the surrounding area. When planning and designing the building, the BEHF architects opted for bright, open architecture with clear structures and color-coded areas. The result is a friendly atmosphere that conveys calm and orientation – so that you feel at ease from the very first moment. We also provide our patients with a WLAN Internet connection for their waiting time.

Gentle diagnostics with the latest technology

The equipment is state of the art; the digital X-ray machine and computer tomograph use the latest technology to reduce the radiation exposure of patients to an absolute minimum. A digital full-field mammography is used for breast examinations, with which radiation exposure can be significantly minimized. We also routinely use tomosynthesis, which significantly improves the detection rate of breast diseases (according to the literature, up to 30% more tumors are found compared to conventional mammography). The magnetic resonance tomographs are high-field devices with which all examinations can be carried out in high resolution.

Appointments must be scheduled for CT, MRI, and fluoroscopy examinations (esophagus, swallowing, stomach, duodenum) as well as for intravenous urography (IVP), since these examinations require preparation. All other examinations (X-ray, ultrasound, and mammography) can, depending on the available capacity on the respective day, be performed without prior appointment during opening hours.
